Organizations across industries are facing increasing pressure to deliver accurate, auditable, and regulator-ready Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) disclosures – often with fragmented data, unclear ownership, and evolving requirements. To help tackle these challenges, IVI is excited to announce the digital launch of the ESG Data Governance Playbook. Register here to attend via Zoom.

Join us at 3pm Irish time / 9am CST on Thursday 22nd January for the launch of the ESG Data Governance Playbook, based on Coleen Griffin’s doctoral research. This practical playbook is designed to help organizations strengthen ESG data quality, traceability, and assurance readiness by adapting proven data governance principles to the unique characteristics of ESG data.

The playbook is relevant to anyone accountable for ESG data, disclosures, or assurance, regardless of whether ESG reporting is finance-led or sustainability-led. It is intentionally designed for cross-functional teams, including senior leaders, sustainability teams, finance or legal functions, and record management teams, as well as academics researchers who examine data governance models.

Session Overview
In this session, Coleen will present the final ESG Data Governance Playbook, sharing key insights from her research and demonstrating how organizations can move forward with more secure, intelligent, and compliant ESG data practices. The discussion will focus on practical governance structures, roles, controls, and evidence expectations that support evolving regulatory and assurance demands.

The ESG Data Governance Playbook will be available for free download following the session via the IVI website.
