David is a Senior Advisor for IVI and conducts organisational capability assessments and provides training for major global corporations and large public sector organisations. He has made valuable contributions to IT-CMF educational material development, technical working groups and manages IVI’s relationship with several key clients.
Prior to joining IVI, David worked for 5 years as a consultant-practitioner of Innovation and Business Improvement for leading organisations including Microsoft, Hibernian Aviva, Babcock Networks and Dublin Institute of Technology. David previously worked in Senior Management for Siemens and Infineon subsidiaries holding roles as Head and VP of Product Management respectively producing ICT security infrastructure software. He has extensive international business experience of programme management in global regulatory approvals and international technical product management and strategic market research in the telecoms industry. His ‘hands-on’ technical experience includes radar trials analysis and developing semi-conductor test applications.
David is a certified trainer with experience in developing and giving lecture tours and training in Europe, N. America, Brazil, S.E. Asia, China and Japan. In Ireland he has developed and lectured on Innovation for the annual Dublin Innovation Festival on several occasions and for the Open University and the Irish Computer Society. David is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Marketer as well as being both qualified and highly experienced in project and programme management. He has been a member of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) committee on Innovation Management since 2010 and is NSAI’s representative on CEN and ISO standards Innovation Management Assessment working groups.
