Introducing Trustworthy AI
Thursday 10 June 2021Artificial intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly, but there is a delay in its introduction into the higher education curriculum. While more and more AI instruction is being offered in STEM subjects, a large number of students leave their careers without understanding the scope, opportunities, or risks of AI. While there is great potential AI to streamline our economies and to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and the European Green Pact, AI brings with it complex challenges in areas such as security, privacy, and social discrimination, among others. In this webinar we will showcase our work in Trustworthy AI. Our goal is to expand the teaching of AI in higher education beyond the technology aspect, and to engage with AI ethics and values questions. We will explore the Learning Framework for ethical AI for stakeholders, our Open Educational Resources and our Hackathon Guide that offer practical tools for teachers to implement new content and develop ethical AI skills in students in a practical way.
